Conclusion of a contract: how to understand that you are lying?
Very often, not only in domestic trifles, but also in business circles there are fraudsters. And these scammers – the worst. They can openly smile at you, make concessions in every possible way, shake your hand and say that working with them will be the best way to invest your capital. However, this may be a lie that comes around you after the conclusion of a contract.
Conclusion of a contract on a particular issue is a serious matter. In many developed countries, in negotiations on the signing of a contract, there are not only the parties themselves, but also lawyers, psychologists, lawyers, and many other people who “smooth out” the risk of a wrong decision. However, even an experienced lawyer cannot always understand that there is a catch in signing a contract, therefore, in order not to be deceived, take a closer look at how the “other side” behaves. This will help you to avoid fraud and possible losses that may be after the conclusion of the contract. Pay special attention to the following points:
Truthful people will more often answer questions, keeping them straight, with their heads elevated. Liars, however, often somehow bend, cross their legs and arms.
Cheaters in negotiations often add second and third person pronouns to their stories – “you”, “you”, “they” – where they are not needed at all.
If the interlocutor keeps his gestures under control, does not even dare to move his hand, then he is clearly concerned with something, most likely with the invention of lies.
A deceiver can also be betrayed by shifty eyes, a higher than usual voice, a flushed face, and heavy breathing.
Liars also very often ask the interlocutor and preface their answers with the introductory words “to tell the truth”, “honestly speaking”, etc. In addition, often to a direct question, they give an evasive answer, which should already cause you to doubt.
If you are in a business conversation on the phone, remember the possibility of fraud. Studies have proven that the phone has become the most frequent tool of deception (37% of cases). He was followed by personal conversations (27%), instant messengers (21%) and emails (14%).
The deceiver can also give an insufficiently thought out story. Therefore, asking for details, and hearing an evasive answer, or even the person did not find what to say, most likely they are deceiving you.
A deceiver can also be issued by pauses between words. Either they are too large or just very frequent. Be that as it may, it often says that they lie to you.
A liar is often alert, closed and does not make contact. This is explained by the discomfort that people experience during deception.
If a person has forgotten about some detail, then he returns to it and describes it in detail. The deceivers, in turn, fear that they will be caught in a lie, and avoid recognizing even trifling inaccuracies.
Watch for deviations from the usual manner of speech. Some people, because of their character and temperament, are always slow with the next phrase. If they start taratorit – this is a clear sign of a lie.
A liar always smiles with his lips – his eyes do not reflect his emotions.
To understand whether you are deceiving or not at the conclusion of an important contract is not easy, but possible. And we showed how this can be done without a lie detector. We hope you will not fall prey to deception. Good luck!
