Competitions in business – business games
Currently, many people on our planet are engaged in business. For their activities, they choose different directions, and they also conduct their business differently, in accordance with their own concepts about how to build their business.
But, despite the difference in views, hardly anyone will argue with the fact that any businessman on a thorny road to success is always waiting for annoying competitors. Moreover, whatever you decide to do, competition is as inevitable as the need to promote your business is inevitable, using creativity and originality.
It should be said that entrepreneurs perceive their competitors differently. Some of them are driven to a frenzy, others, meet them as rivals in the ring, preparing in advance for an exciting and colorful competition, like a business game.
Such businessmen have all the qualities of players. At the word “competitors” they turn on the spirit of competition, which literally moves them only forward. They cannot admit that they can lose. They are only interested in winning and sometimes it does not matter even by what methods it will be obtained. Studies have shown that such businessmen increase the level of adrenaline in the blood, the pupils dilate and other physiological changes occur, which are characteristic of any person who wants to get a win. These people view business as a whole as a game or a competition.
This attitude to their own business is not typical for everyone. However, it is worth noting that most often people who are determined to win in the competitive struggle achieve success. Probably, they can also be compared with athletes who are ready to give everything to the fullest, and, as a result, take the cherished reward in their hands. In the business of such an award will be the best place in the ranking of companies, unconditional recognition among customers and, of course, a stable profit.
Is this trait positive for those who have their own business? Of course, yes, to a large extent, since the desire to always be the first is a powerful incentive for confident progress and for the development of the company. As a rule, having decided, by all means, to achieve success in his business, such a person would actually do it. This is especially true if it possesses other necessary traits of character. In particular, perseverance. Without this quality, a businessman may run out of steam in the middle of the road, never having achieved his goal. Such personalities have a mentality of players who see business as a battle, and sometimes they are inclined, even treat their competitors as mortal enemies. Some of them can provoke a stressful situation, and use the nervous energy released as a result for over-achievement and successful work.
However, there is one thing that can characterize the desire to compete in business is not the best. It may happen that, having reached the intended summit and realizing that he received the long-awaited prize and became the first, the person loses interest in what he was doing. He has a desire to abandon it and do something else.
Therefore, it is rather difficult to judge how this approach is correct. After all, it is dictated mainly by the peculiarities of the human psyche and is not mandatory for all. If you are not a player by nature, you are unlikely to survive the heat of passion in your business activity. However, it is quite obvious that a business game means competition and to remain completely calm and indifferent, being engaged in your own business is unlikely to turn out.
But the reaction to what is happening will vary considerably between the average person and the one who is inclined to perceive business as a struggle and not thinking of their own defeat in it. It is worth noting, however, that everyone can succeed in his business, provided that he builds a competent strategy and skillfully copes with all the unexpected situations that arise on his way to success.
